CAAM AT A+P
The California African American Museum at A+P is a five-year collaboration (2022-2027) that brings CAAM organized shows to A+P’s exhibition space, and develops a hub for CAAM to incubate new programming. In return, A+P dedicates financial and staff resources to CAAM’s vision in support of the museum’s residency in Leimert Park. Our upcoming exhibition Giving you the best that I got is on view October 11, 2025 – March 7, 2026.

Is there an admission fee to visit A+P’s exhibitions?
There is no admission fee to visit A+P’s exhibitions. All contemporary art programs are free.

How are artists and exhibitions selected for A+P’s exhibitions program?
Art + Practice collaborates with museum institutions to organize exhibitions on its campus. Museums are responsible for proposing, planing and organizing the exhibitions with the artists that the institution selects. A+P is responsible for helping co-organize and install the exhibition, but is not involved in selecting the artists.

Can I volunteer for A+P’s exhibitions program?
Art + Practice is not currently accepting applications for volunteer positions within our exhibitions programs.

Does A+P review or accept any unsolicited artworks or portfolios?
No. Art + Practice does not review or accept any unsolicited artworks or portfolio submitted by email, mail, or in person.
