ARTIST TALK: LUIS FLORES

November 14, 2019
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

In Collaboration With

The Baltimore Museum of Art

Join Art + Practice for a talk with Los Angeles-based artist Luis Flores. At A+P, Flores (b. 1985) will discuss his work in textile-based sculpture, installation, video performance, painting and drawing, which bring to light topics surrounding gender and masculinity that are often ignored and blindly accepted. Flores will also explore his works’ relationship to ideas of the unconscious and automatic responses to societal expectations as well as the ways in which beliefs about situations or tasks shape the way we perceive ourselves and art.

This program is organized on the occasion of A+P’s exhibitions Stephen Towns: Rumination and a Reckoning and Ramsess: The Gathering.

Please RSVP here. Admission is always free.
