March 19, 2022
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

In Collaboration With

The California African American Museum

Published by The Contemporary Austin in conjunction with the exhibition of the same name, Deborah Roberts: I’m is a 96-page, full-color exhibition catalogue that includes a forward by Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation; scholarly essays by Heather Pesanti, the former Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs at The Contemporary Austin, and Eddie Chambers, David Bruton, Jr. Centennial Professor of Art History at the University of Texas at Austin; and a conversation between Deborah Roberts and Zoè Whitley, Director of Chisenhale Gallery, London. Meet Deborah Roberts, see her newly installed large-scale mural, Little man, little man (2020), and purchase a copy of the catalogue to have it signed by the artist.

This book signing is organized on the occasion of Deborah Roberts: I’m at Art + Practice and CAAM, as part of a new five-year museum-in-residence program at A+P. The exhibition will be on view at both institutions March 19–August 20, 2022.
