The California African American Museum at A+P is a five-year collaboration (2022-2027) that brings CAAM organized shows to A+P’s exhibition space, and develops a hub for CAAM to incubate new programming. In return, A+P dedicates financial and staff resources to CAAM’s vision in support of the museum’s residency in Leimert Park. The most recent exhibition, Tatyana Fazlizadeh: Finding Soft Ground, was on view April 6–August 10, 2024. Please stay tuned for more information about our Fall 2024 exhibition soon.
There is no admission fee to visit A+P’s exhibitions. All contemporary art programs are free.
Art + Practice collaborates with museum institutions to organize exhibitions on its campus. Museums are responsible for proposing, planing and organizing the exhibitions with the artists that the institution selects. A+P is responsible for helping co-organize and install the exhibition, but is not involved in selecting the artists.
